Connection help
Answers to common questions about adding a subscription and using the VPN.
The VPN will not connect. Where should I start?
Turn off the VPN and check whether the internet works without it. If it does not, restore your network connection first. Check your subscription status in your account or the Liberty VPN Telegram bot. Turn off any other active VPN before trying again. The step-by-step checks are in the troubleshooting article linked below.
Where can I get the link to add my subscription?
In the Liberty VPN Telegram bot, open your subscription and copy the link under “Connection key” in the “Your subscription” message. You can also select “Connect” in the same message, choose your platform and copy the key from the resulting message. In your account, copy the key from “Profile → Instructions” or “Connection Settings”. The connection action on your subscription card on the home screen opens “Profile → Instructions”, where you can copy the link. Use your own complete link: an example from a guide or someone else's QR code cannot replace it. Do not publish your link or its QR code.
How do I manually add my connection key to the app?
Install the appropriate app, copy your complete subscription link from the bot or your account and add it manually using the instructions for your device and app. Import options have different names in different clients. You do not need to delete other apps to do this.
No servers appeared after I added my subscription. What should I check?
Check that your subscription is active and its personal link was copied in full. Make sure you are adding the link to the correct app using the method in the guide. If the app shows an error or the list stays empty, tell support the client name and exact error message. Do not reset your device or router settings at random.
The servers appeared in the app. Is the VPN already on?
Seeing the servers does not mean the VPN is on. Choose a server, press the connect button and check the connection status in the app. If your system asks for permission to create a VPN connection, allow it. These steps are shown in the guide for your device.
The VPN is on, but a website or app will not work. What should I check?
Check whether other websites and apps open: this helps you see whether one service or the whole connection is affected. Choose another available location, reconnect and check again. If the problem persists, tell support which service does not work and exactly what happens.
The VPN works on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data, or the other way round. What should I do?
Check the internet without the VPN on each available network. Then try connecting to the same server over Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the problem remains on only one network, try another available location on that network. Tell support which network has the problem and what changed after these checks.
What should I do if Happ is unavailable in the App Store?
There is an alternative setup guide using INCY for iPhone and iPad. If INCY is available in your App Store, install it and add your subscription using that guide. The INCY guide for iPhone and iPad is linked in the useful materials below and is in Russian. After importing, choose a server and turn on the VPN.
